NORDIC POLEWALKING AND … AVONDALE DAIRY BAR!!

MONDAY

Thank you, Alison for your timely suggestion to Nordic Pole Walk and then appreciate the many flavours of ice cream available at the Avondale Dairy Bar!  Not to mention the various ways that this treat can be served up!  Banana splits, ice cream floats, cones, milkshakes, unbelievable!

That’s right folks, there are no calories to count, just count yourself in for the event!

The Nordic Pole Walk will begin at the St. Catharines Museum along the Welland Canals Parkway also known locally as Lock 3.

1932 Welland Canals Pkwy.
St. Catharines, ON L2R 7K6

Please meet up in the main lobby at 10 am. It would be gracious to make a donation of $5 per person to the facility. There is a donation box in the lobby entryway.

Bring your poles if you have them, a friend or two, and let’s get walking!

There are poles to sign out for adults, supplied by the City of St. Catharines Older Adults Centers, at the Lock 3 Museum.

The walk will begin at 1030am.

Check this out, for location and a little history about the Avondale Dairy Bar…

This local dairy began to serve up ice cream in 1955!  Yes, it was a very good year!

Avondale Dairy is located fairly close to the museum and across the Welland Ship Canal.  Local people use the radio station 93.3 FM to hear a running report on which bridges are available to traverse.  I will address this on the day of the walk.

As Alison succinctly put it…

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!   🍦🍦🍦
